ADOPT, FOSTER OR HELP THEM TRAVEL

Foster a rescue cat or dog

You can make a difference without making a lifelong adoption commitment. A patient foster home gives a rescued animal a safe place to rest while the next steps are agreed.

MOMENTS FROM OUR RESCUE ARCHIVE

What a foster home offers

Fostering means daily care, a secure environment and time to help an animal settle. Read the profiles and tell us about your household, resident animals, experience and normal routine. We assess each match individually.

Be clear about your availability

Tell us your earliest start date, how long you could foster, any travel plans and the support you would need. A short offer is still worth discussing, but a placement depends on what is suitable for the animal and practical for everyone involved.

Agree responsibilities together

Before a placement, discuss food, supplies, veterinary decisions, costs, transport and what happens if your circumstances change. The duration and support arrangements need to be agreed with the team, rather than assumed.

Prepare before arrival

We ask for a home check and information about secure windows, balconies and outdoor spaces. Plan a quiet area and gradual introductions to other animals. Grey specifically needs a fully enclosed catio with direct access from the home.

Send a foster enquiry

Complete the foster questionnaire with your location and availability. All available animals are ready to travel, but a suitable home, destination requirements and a practical journey must still be agreed. Submitting the form does not confirm a placement.
